Choral Evensong for the Feast of the Epiphany, featuring Very Rev. Mazimbo

On Sunday, January 7, at 5:30 PM, St. Alban's Episcopal Church's will host a special service of Choral Evensong for the Feast of the Epiphany. This commemorates the arrival of the Wise Men, or Magi, to visit the Christ Child. The service will feature the men's choir of St. Alban's, and will be followed by a reception with hot cocoa in the courtyard, with live camels and other animals on the law.

Our guest preacher will be The Very Rev. Dan Alinafe Mazimbo, Dean of St. Paul's Cathedral in Blantyre, Malawi. Blantyre is the commercial capital of this country of 20 million in southeastern Africa.  Dean Mazimbo currently in the U.S. studying for a Masters of Divinity with an emphasis on Environmental Science from the University of the South in Sewanee, TN. We're especially grateful to host Dean Mazimbo because of our congregation's long connection to the church in Malawi. St. Alban's sister parish is All Saints Church in Nambiti. Both All Saints and St. Paul's Cathedral are congregations in the Anglican Diocese of Southern Malawi.
