About the Event
From 1920-1970, the PVIL was the governing body for academic, athletic, and music competitions for the black high schools in Texas during the states segregationist era. Many Wacoans participated in the PVIL, and left outstanding legacies. In this climate of erasure of an African-American history, we will highlight and honor local copetitors of the PVIL.
